SOURCE: 2005 chevy colorado runs rough and gets bad gas mileage.

Sounds like it needs spark plugs and wires, and a fuel system treatment.

SOURCE: how do you replace an oil pump for a 93 chevy

A bad oil pump will show low oil pressure and your lifters will start chattering. It is rare that ann oil pump failsyet possible. The oil pump is in the oil pan and will require the pan to come down. The pan can be remove in frame, you just have to turn the crank by hand to get the crank journal out of the way at a certain point. Yhe oil pump is the unit the pick up tube and screen are attached and it comes down by removing two bolts. The pick up tube is the hard part. Last I kmew they are pressed in and hard to separate from the pump, but it can be done. Be careful not to rotate the tube or it will be loose on install, not good.. If you have a oropane torch heat up the pump, don't over heat. Just enough fotr the tube to dlip out. Do not forget to put the distributor drive rod back in if it came out wiyh the pump. Pull the distributor so you don't fight thre drive slot alignment. Note rotor position and dirtibutor body position. Mark if necessary the orientation for assembly. Good Luck. Suggestion. Have the oil pressure ck'd and verified befor siassemblin. Put a gauge in place of sending uni for a direct reading. It's a lot of work to pull the pump. Good Luck, -Ned-

SOURCE: 1999 Chevy Blazer 4x4 4door 4.3L V6 Fuel pump replacement.

Hello,
Replacing the sending unit / module is optional when its a metal top module. If it's plastic I would replace the whole thing reguardless.

I hope this helps.

Chevy 2005 4x4 silverado low oil pressure replaced oil sending unit and the cluster 137000miles no noise from engine

By the time you hear noise from the engine it will be too late for that engine. You may need an oil pump replacement. Have a mechanic check the oil pressure. It's cheaper than replacing the engine.

Trying to locate spark plugs on chevy 2005 colorado, so i can replace new ones

You should see a spark plug wire for each spark plug. The spark plugs are in the cylinder head. You have to unplug the plug wire first before you replace the plugs. Be careful as to not damage the plug wires when removing them. Be carefull not to get dirt into the cylinder when replacing the plug. Do not overtighten the new plugs. I can't remember which side of the engine the plugs are on, on your truck. You truck has the inline 5 cylinder I think.

Pulling engine out and replacing it

Why don't you just pull the one head and have it surfaced and check the valves, fix the problem, put on a new gasket and see what happens. It is a lot easier than pulling the motor.

I am looking at a 2004 colorado with 3.5 5 cyl. engine with 115k. how is this vehicle performance and reliability

My 2004 Colorado 4x4 is at 91K and running better than I would have expected. It seemed to break in at 80K. Still getting 21 mpg. Haven't changed spark plugs yet. No major repairs have been needed except for the power steering pump I'm about to replace because of a squeal.

What is the length of 2005 Chevy Colorado Z71 oil dipstick

If the manuel says 6 qt thats what it takes. Sometimes 5 min is not enough time for all the oil to run down from the top of the engine check the oil after 1 hour if you removed the same amount that you put in I think you are safe
