I KEEP REPLACING HEADLIGHTS.THE HIGH BEAMS WILL BLOW INSTANTLY,THEN AFTER AWHILE THE LOW BEAMS WILL BLOW OUT.WHY?
If it isn't a vibration problem (which light bulb filaments don't like) it may also be because they are on all the lime and have limited life. That's what my wife had going on in her SAAB.
The solution is to solder a diode in series with the ground wire from the lamp with the cathode end of the diode (striped end) away from the lamp. Use radio shack 276-1661 or equivalent 6 amps or more diode. Have this done by a good soldering nerd like me and have them use heat shrink to seal the connections. (Don't use a flame near the battery to shrink the tubing).
The diode reduces the voltage to the bulb, increasing life. Bulb may be a bit dimmer but not noticeable. Note: Solution may mess up bulb indication on fancy cars that may use some bad bulb detection signal on the wire; most dealers wouldn't know unless they are really up to snuff.

I take it they blow when you turn them on, right? If the high beams are not on, they do not pop, correct?
If you DO NOT start the vehicle and turn the high beams on, do they blow immediately? If not, and they blow immediately after you start the vehicle, your voltage regulator is bad.
