The person you have checking your vehicle is a parts replacer. Not a mechanic. He's just hoping to hit it right, eventually. Have someone check the sensors at the rotors my friend. Most likely one is out of position and not picking up the proper message for the computer. Yes, once the light is out, from all the other work he's done, it will come back on each time. That's just the nature of the beast. If it is just a sensor at the rotor out of adjustment, the light wont come back on.

you should have your vehicle scanned with OBDII.(on board diagnostics) . take it to a shop and tell them your engine light is on and they'll hook a computer to it and find out why
