Recently had an accident; front end damage which caused the driver air bag to deploy. We went yesterday to get car and it wouldn't start. They charged the battery and car started. When started the door ajar indicator light was on but all doors and trunk were closed. We drove it home and turned car off and closed door and the door indicator light stayed on. The battery has now drained again. We are taking it back to the repair shop but was wondering what would cause this? Should we unhook the battery until Monday or what?

you may just need to adjust your door jams they may not be closing properly, the other thing you can try is opening one door at a time and putting your finger on the switch usually in the lower l/h corner of b piller and see if the light goes off if not this may be the problem and replace the switch

I had the same problem. Spray WD-40 (with the sprayer extender) into the latch of the doors very liberally. Open and close doors a few times. Should resolve issue.

You triggered the impact sensor.(usually on or near the front bumper) It will need to be re-set or replaced, and obviously, you need to replace airbag.
SOURCE: instrument cluster indicates door ajar but there is not
The door latch has a switch built into it to replace the old door jamb switch. If the switch is faulty the system will think the door is ajar. A scanner will show an open switch.
YOU SHOULD BE UNDER WARRANTY.
