Check crank position sensor. check cam position sensor. Have the fault codes read for fault. Check key battery is not flat causing the immobiliser not to work.

When replacing timing belt,2006 proton jumbuck. what parts and gaskets do I need?

*Before you start make sure ALL your timing marks are correctly positioned.*
If you buy a full timing belt kit it usually contains all the parts you need. A good socket set will be needed to change it.

How do i get rid of engine code 13 on my 1992 Lexus LS400

You change no parts

The only parts that get replaced, are
those that fail a test

Have a repair shop take over & find a problem
thru proper testing vs: a wish & hope strategy
on a guess, by replacing good parts

Truck would not start had a obd code 340 changed cps started good for 2 wks then it showed a 340 code would not start.

When you get OBD Codes-- you do not change parts

You use the codes & trouble charts-- to component test--
the system-- that set the fault code,to find a problem

If you found no problem, or no tested & failed part, why
change it?

Without factory service & diagnostic manuals & professional
scan tool software & wiring diagrams, your at the mercy of
a repair shop, because you do not have the info or knowledge
needed, to work on a vehicle

Stalls in gear no getup when pushing the gas replaced 2 knock sensors iac map oxygen 2 coolent sensors ecm spark plugs wires and whole distributer fuel filter valcum hoses now i dont know how to set timing...

Even you knew, before you started changing any parts,
that you didn't need to replace 10 things.

You just admitted to not knowing how to set timing or find
a problem,I knew that when I got the the second part you
installed

You need to study vehicle systems etc & go to a repair
shop for now, that you also knew before you started throwing
parts & money at it.

You realize you provided no vehicle at all, year, make, model

Need how to set timing belt on kia optima

I had 2006 kia optima 2.4 liter LX, I drove 150000 miles plus, it was over 100,000 miles I changed timing belt, and AC belt, alternator belt is still ok, but it was my fault, I did not change crank shaft balance belt, it next to timing belt, this very important, timing belt and crank shaft balance belt must change same time, you set all mark the same positions, you can see all clear marked
if you had OBD2 scanner is helpful to read all faulty codes if you do it your self repair
if you have any problems about KIA optima, please post on any websites, to share some ideas to other KIA optima owners, like me, I change oil every 2500 miles to make my optima runs smoother
automatic transmission fluid change every year if you put high mileage on your car, optima had hard time to find it own part some time, radiator hoses are still good condition and had hard time to find in any auto part stores in my home town, good luck and thanks for sharing.

HI, TOP GASKET WAS CHANGED BY SOMEONE, ENGINE AFTERWHICH IS NOT STARTING, ASSUMING THEY DIDNT SET Z TIMING CORRECT, WE NEED HELP HOW 2 CHECK Z TIMING,THKS,,,,2007supercharged

I'd have either the dealer or Rover specialty shop set it for you. To set the timing you need Rover "textbook" software, laptop and special wiring. (I have a Rover also) The software is about $2k
Depending on what gasket(s) were changed, timing shouldn't have changed. More than likely an injector line or ignition wiring is wrong. In either case I would let a specialist look at it instead of throwing parts at it.

I have a 1998 chevy c3500 with the 7.4 liter

you can't change the timing in this engine nor can you adjust the valves. The timing is adjusted throught the computer therefore there is no mechanical way to change this. You might be able to with some kind of programmer or computer program.

Timing settings

my jeep has jumped time and i need to know the exact degrees to set it at please and thank you.

WRONG!!! WRONG!!! WRONG!!!

The first thing you need to do is to find out why it jumped time. Jumping time is not normal and shouldn't happen.

Tell me the last repair that was done on the jeep.

When was the timing belt last changed?

Were OEM parts used?

Were tensioners and pulleys changed?
Not finding what you are looking for?
