2004 Honda Accord: Key will not disable alarm (not a key problem)

Any help on this matter would be great. it does not happen all the time, but has been happening a lot more lately. I will walk up to my locked car with the alarm on, hit the unlock button, and the doors will unlock but it will not turn of the alarm. once I open the door the alarm goes off. Then, when I try to turn the alarm of it will not turn off either by the buttons on the key, or tuning the lock to lock the car again. I then have to just keep opening and closing the door, hit buttons, put the key in the ignition, and just try to make something work. I will do this dance 5 or six times before the alarm finaly disengages and allows me to turn on the car. It does this with 3 different keys, and this does not happen all the time. just wondering if anyone had any solotions as to what may be wrong, or if there is a trick to stop the alarm from going of multiple times. Thanks

How do I shut off my alarm?

Getting into a car that has the security system by unlocking the door with the key will set the alarm off. Usually you can relock and unlock the door with the key and the alarm will be turned off. There are several things that can set off an alarm depending on the sensors, so do you have a remote key FOB and if so does it work. I am including a link to Honda Tech article that may help you out:

You basically will need thhe master key or do you have another one? The only way to do this is with a Honda scan tool to disable the pass code its mainly a dealer that can disable the alarm and your best bet is to have it disabled permantely why ? Honda has TSB (technical service bulletien) with the multi plex wires failing

My honda alarm keeps going off while car locked

there are sensors in each lock cylinder, trunk, and hood latch. Is it an ex? try locking the car with the remote, then use the key to unlock each door, if the alarm goes off, that's the bad switch. look in your fuse panels and see, I'm pretty sure if you pull the fuse to disable the alarm, you will lose your power locks

Key Fob does not work and alarm goes off when raining

the central locking control unit is in the drivers door. there's a polythene sheet in the door panel. If that's ripped or petrified then rain may be screwing with the electrics. it may be worth taking off the door panel and wrapping it the controll unit in a shopping bag or summat.....
