1993 volvo 850 glove box won't open even though it's unlocked
My '93 850 glove box is "frozen." It appears to be unlocked y the key, but won't open. Short of a pry bar, how can I open? There are 3 torx screws going upward from beneath the box - do these come into play?

Open the glove box door. The 2 plastic limit straps that attach to the door have small tabs on the side. With a very small screw driver depress these and detach the straps. Remove the under dash panel. Remove all the screws holding the box in and pull the box out.
replace switch on steering column not the key switch there a switch on the steering column when you turn key a rod run from key switch down to this switch
I had the same question when I got my 94' 850 Turbo wagon. I kept wondering where the fuel door release was. To my surprise there was not one, you simply must have the entire "CAR" (not just the drivers door) unlocked. Use the key FOB. After that, go to the fuel door outside the vehicle and push in on it to pop it open. Hopefully you have not run out of gas yet.
Sounds like you have a broken wire between the fuse box and the pump..
Check colour on the pump wire and trace back to box.. if you cannot find it and its only the pump playing up run a new wire from the FEED side of fuse to the pump but remove the old wire before connection up.. Or use a test light to find the short in old power line..
Let me know how you go Ron
The ignition coil is on the drivers side fender well just aft of the air box. You'll see the wire coming from it to the distributor cap. It's held in place by 2 10MM bolts.
