Nissan sentra air conditioning

The selector dial on my nissan sentra 2005 doesn't work. It's stuck blowing out of the defroster vents no matter what I change it to, be it the face vents or the floor vents. The AC still works at full force. Fuses are ok. How do I open this up to fix it?

Check for vacuum lines under the hood that are loose, off, or cracked. With the engine running, wiggle them around and listen for a hissing sound.

well if you don't mind hard work, then you must pull out the panel that holds your knob switches and check that the cable has not pulled out from the knob, clip it back into place and you should be fine, otherwise you should take it to a repair shop, good luck

Defroster does not work in 2005 nissan sentra

The defroster works from the same fan as the vents, so the most probable cause is that the ducts from the fan housing to the vents have come undone. fixing it involves getting way underneath there to see if you can locate the loose ducting. You might have to remove the glove box and / or the instrument cluster to see what is going on back there.

My 2005 Nissan Sentra air flow control dial will not work. Air flow is stuck coming our of the dash vents and will not change to any other location. Help???

on nissan's air vent controls, they use electronic servos already. this may entail that you havta dis assemble half of your dashboard. unless you're quite savvy in doing this and locate each servo in its separate locations in each air vent; i suggest that you bring it in to a shop.
