Hi Raynellmarti. Here is the image of the firing order on a 3.1L Buick that c17hydro was trying to post for you. He encountered an issue uploading them, and sent them to me so that I could try and post them.

Hi, just wondering why you have rated this info as inappropriate. The schematics show the routing of the spark plaug wires to the plugs. Are you looking for something different?

The first link is the schematic for the 3.1L. You follow the number, say, number one and follow it to the same position on the spark plug. The coil pack, looking at the engine, #1 is on the driver's side. Plug the spark plug wire boot to that position on the coil pack and then take the other end of the spark plug wire boot and push it on to the #1 cylinder, which is on the end of the engine closest to the firewall passenger side. That is the #1 cylinder.....and so on.

With the vehicle having set for three years without having been driven, running rough or rough idle could be anything. Did you inspect the spark plug wires thoroughly to make sure there were not damaged? Did you drain the old gas and replace it with new? Are are you getting a check engine light? There are some simple steps to test the coil pack and here's an easy one

1995 BUICK CENTURY SPARK PLUG WIRE REPLACMENT

the best method is one at a time.pull the wire by the boot and remove.then remove other end in same fashion. measure the length of the old wire the the replacement and install making sure that the boots are well seated, you will normally hear a click or feel the boot seat.continue in this fashion until all wires are replaced, then proceed to change plugs one by one making sure that the air gap is to specifications.
do not overtighten plugs ,snug is fine.

Need a diagram of spark plug wire routing, may have crossed wires, 95 3.8

This should solve your problem. Firing order 1s 1-4-2-5-3-6. Just connect the tower numbers on the coilpack to the sparkplugs of the cylinders as numbered in the diagram :

Where are the spark plugs located on a 1992 buick century? and how do i remove them? and could you send me a picture or video?

Your Buick either has the 3.1 V-6 or probably the 3800 V-6...you can trace each spark plug wire to each spark plug...I recommend the AC plugs platinum tip as your Buick came with. The Auto Parts store can confirm the spark plug gap...change only one at a time...so you don't confuse the firing order...sorry no pics available... Also use anti seeze on the plug threads...and use lubricant to seal each plug wire at each connection...also makes them remove easier next time...:)

Rough idle

Check the firing order.
It sounds like you have crossed a couple of wires.

Use a spark plug socket wrench, remove the plug wire, unscrew the old spark plug, screw in the new spark plug, and re-connect the plug wire. Do 1 at a time

The firing order for a 4-cylinder 2.2L Buick Century is: 1-3-4-2. The distributor rotates in a clockwise direction, with #1 plug wire located at the upper left of the distributor The firing order on a 3.1 v6 is simple. 1-2-3-4-5-6 See a diagram of the 3.1 and 3.8 here. http://www.2carpros.com/forum/1999-buick-century-spark-plug-firing-order-vt177159.html http://autorepair.about.com/od/enginefiringorders1/
