2016 Ford Ranger 2.2 diesel blows black smoke on excelleration, have just replaced injectors now smoking a fair bit on take off and excelleration.

The pump needs setting up and timing adjusted.
If you fitted other than Ford injectors, that will also give issues of over fueling.

1997 mazda e2000 van which is blowing black smoke

if it takes 5-10 mins of running before black smoke disappear i think you could have broken rings causing engine oil into the combustion chamber. you could observe white smoke if you have just changed oil.
solution would be to replace piston rings. it would save u a lot if u could diy.

I have a ford xe 351v8 it blows lots of black smoke

Black smoke tells me your piston rings are worn. Also the fumes you have explained tells me the valve seals are worn and leaking oil as well
The leaking valve seals and pistion rings will expell the fumes out through the exhaust. If you check your oil level every 50 miles and the oil level is down a half quart or more serious engine wear has occured and needs to be rebuilt soon
