Front doom map light does not activate when door opens but works manually.
Sounds like this may be in the door switch. There is a small rubber covered switch in the door jamb. Pull the cover off the screw should be a bit smaller than a dime. Use a screw driver to remove the screw behind the cover. Check to see if the wire is hooked up. Push it on try to gently pull it off and then push it on again. This should solve your problem. If not check for power to the switch,

the driver's door has a switch which tells the multiplexer control unit that the door is open and the control unit then switches on the lights. It sounds like the switch is not making contact when the driver's door is open. The lights work and the other door switches work--so it isn't a fuse or multiplexer problem.

may be a relay switch, or a faulty wire on the right side behind the glove box

You will have to pry off the lens CAREFULLY using a small screwdriver. There are two (or more) little plastic protrusions on each long side of the lens which fit into the casement. Look for very small slots along the side of the lens to insert the blade of the screwdriver. You can ease the casement away from the lens enough to get it to pop out. Re-inserting it is the same, but probably easier.
Gently, give it a try.
Hope this helps you.

It's the ground wiring in the module. I wired ground from one side of module to the other and now it works.
