you only need it to reset service light just change oil and filter as normal then refer to manuel on seqence to set light or take car to dealer who will do it for you will not effect running of car if light is on it is just to tell you service is due
are you mechacilly inclined do you want instructons on how to test? It may be a motor mount they have liquid filled mounts that can tear at about that miliage and I can tell yuo hoe to check the turbo.
How do you know the turbocharger doesn't work? Just because the boost gage doesn't show boost PSI doesn't mean the turbo isn't working. Junkyard or rebuilt turbos aren't cheap but they're less expensive than a new one from a dealer. Don't buy a old turbocharged Volvo they're money pits. They always break down and parts are really expensive (and hard to find on older models) and you have to find a mechanic that specializes in fixing Volvo's.
hi what was the code (p 0244)sounds like you need to replace the the turbo wastegate valve .sounds to me like its overboosting as if the charge from the turbo gets too hot the engine will misfire thus causing damage to engine ,the waste gate valve is there to prevent over pressurisation
