We need to replace the blower motor transistor on my daughters car.....I am having trouble finding the part...if there is any out there! lol I have seen for other acuras tl or integra, mdx but not for vigor. If I get a transistor from an acura integra or mdx, will it be compatible with the vigor? Thank you!

SOURCE: blower motor for a 1997 acura tl

one of 2 places either under the dash behind the glove box or under the hood on the passengerside. first i would check the fuse and or fan motor relay. these are located in the box under the hood or under the dash on the drivers side. also i would check the reostat which controls the fan speed this is located near the motor and is held in place by 2 screws and has 2 wires hooked to it. one more thing to check is to make sure the switch is still good

They can be tough to do. I just completed the same job on my Volvo yesterday over the weekend. Suggest you get a Haynes repair manual to see how to get in and out of the heater area with the lowest amount of fuss.

Check all your fuses.( you probably did, but do it again, one at a time) it seems like your control pannel is not getting power. See what wire is the power for the control pannel and bypass it with a jumper wire, giving it power and see if the blower works. Be careful though, make sure you find the correct wire that powers the control, or else you'll burn the control.

On my daughters friends 2003 acura 3.2 tl blower fan was replaced but the air still does not seem to blow out thru the vents very well can any one help with this problem

Could be that the blend door is not opening all the way or the evaparator is clogged, just replaced my evaporator, did the same thing as you, replaced blower, blower does two things, works or it doesn't,I also replaced a new blower with one that didn't need to be replaced, take back and get money back.I ended up taking to Midas cause you have to remove freon to replace or clean evaporator, now it blows super. You get warranty from them too and have great prices. Here's a link to look at,shows you have a filter at blower motor, may be clogged.

96 acura tl 2.5l. havc diagnosis only indicates a fault in the blower motor circuit. The 30 amp fuse under the hood is fine. The relay in the under dash bank is good. High speed relay is good and...

power flows from fuse to blower motor relay. From there it flows to blower motor. Blower motor receives ground from two different places depending on which speed you choose. If you choose high speed, it gets ground through the blower motor high relay. If you choose any other speed, it gets ground through the power transistor below the right side of the dash. The power transistor regulates fan speed by pulsing ground on and off based on the speed you've set. Power transistor is most common failure point in these systems
