Moonroof Visor is loose

My 1999 Honda Accord has a moonroof visor that squeaks and is loose. I have tried tightening the bolts that attach to the visor itself, but have discovered that the U hooks that attach the visor to my moonroof are loose. How can those be tightened if any? I'm so tired of it making noise, and have tried wd-40.

SOURCE: 1999 Honda Accord - sunroof/moonroof doesn't close

This is a re-post from what I told someone else:

I took mine in expecting to have it repaired and it turns out that it was just the screws along the left and right-hand side of the panel. They were loose. The guy told me that "it eventually happens" and that "it's only a matter of time". He went on to say that "it shouldn't happen again". So, check the screws on either side of the panel right where it's stopping. I suspect that this is prohibiting yours from closing as well.

please rate my answer as I am new
Thanks,

Testimonial: "Thanks for your answer. 159ft-lbs seems a bit high. I only say this because 1990 Honda Integra 1.8L is 130ft-lbs. Maybe because of bigger engine."

SOURCE: how do i tighten belts on 1997 honda accord?

to tighten the thin belt, loosen the top and then the bottom nuts that go through to the frame. The turn the bolt on top, the closest to the front of the car, clockwise. Then tighten both through bolts up. For the thick belt, loosen the through bolt on the alternator, then turn the long bolt at the bottom, front of car, of alternator clockwise.

Loose driver side sun visor

If there is head of a screw on the arm that attaches to the sunvisor you can tighten that up. If not the sunvisor has to be replaced instead

Shade for 93 honda wont close. window works fine. but shade is stuck

I don't know if this will work, but you can try it. If you use the manual method for closing the moonroof, or opening it, it MIGHT take the shade along with it. The following is the procedure, which you may already know.
The moonroof can be closed manually, if the control switch will not close it.
1. Remove the round plug near the rear center of the headliner.
2. Insert the moonroof wrench (from the tool kit, should be in the trunk) into the socket.
3.Turn the wrench until the moonroof seats in the closed position.
4. Replace the plug.
As I say, this MIGHT work. Hope it helps.

Sun visor won't go back into place

if its flopping around or feels loose you can try tightening the "hinge" that connects it to the roof and tightening the screws on the visor itself. That might align it enough to fit again properly.

How do you remove the headliner in an 02 Montero. I'm trying to remove the moonroof motor

FIRST THING TAKE ALL THE INTER. TRIM THAT IS TOUCHING THE HEADLINER.. THEN IN THE DOME LIGHT, TAKE THE PLASTIC COVER OFF, THERE WILL BE TWO METAL RODS STICKING DOWN (VERY SMALL) THERE IS A LITTLE METAL CLIP ON THE RODS, TAKE A PAIR OF NEEDLE NOSE AND PULL THE CLIP OFF THE RODS.. WHEN ALL THE TRIM, BOLTS, AND CLIPS ARE OFF, PULL THE HEADLINER TO THE BACK OF THE TRUCK, AND THE CLIPS IN THE VISOR AREA WILL BECOME FREE.. IF ANY QUESTION CONTACT ME AT [email protected] GOOD LUCK KEITH..

Passenger side visor is coming loose.

At the Point where the Viser attaches to the Roof, There are Screws to Tighten this. There is also a Screw on the Back side of the Visor that will let you tighten the Movement of the Visor.
