Either you have a voltage drop to the starter, OR the starter needs to be shimmed as it might be to tight against the Ring Gear when engaging.

Removing a starter from a 1991 chevy s-10 blazer 4x4 , 4.3L v6...

The starter is under the vehicle on the passenger side. The best way is to turn your wheels to the left so you can reach the top of the starter solenoid behind the passenger tire. First undo the nuts from the solenoid terminals, second loosen the bolts holding the bell housing for the flywheel and slide it over enough to make room, third undo the starter mounting bolts and the starter should come out easier. And just reverse the steps for installation.

Can I replace my 1996 Chevy Blazer's Engine with a 2005 Chevy Blazer Engine? They are both 4.3L Vortec Engines.

you can,,BUT you're gonna have to replace the intake and a whole lot of stuff on the motor you're installing, most things will interchange from old motor BUT not all. you will have to buy all the other stuff, either new or used,,,but it is possible!

A new starter was installed in our '96 Chevy Blazer but there is no power going to the starter. I was told to look for an inline fuse for the solenoid/thermal wiring? The starter clicks and there is...

hello ase tech here. so your starter clicks when you try to start the car correct. the first thing i would check would be the ground at the battery is it tight. next i would check to see if you can hand turn the motor over, by attacting a socket that fits the crank bolt and turn by hand if ok i would take the starter back where you bought it and request a new one.

1999 Chevy Blazer Engine will not crank over. All

try turning the key over to the start position. then take a long screwdriver and touch it across the terminals on the starter. this should start your vehicle. if the sarter doesnt turn when you do this, then you have the starter locked up,and yo will have to take it off and install some shims under the bolts.if the starter is trying to turn and the lywheel isnt urning...then you have a locked up engine.

How to check the ignition switch?

There are some fusible links mounted with the starter on the cable, check to see if they are burned into, pull on them they will pull apart like taffy. Also, check the neutral safety switch ,try in neutral ,see if it will start.Make sure the negative battery cable is good, this can cause the problem also, see if there is 12 volts on the purple wire on the starter solenoid when starting the engine,if not, check the neutral safety switch,if it is good, replace the ignition switch.
