I have a 2005 Jaguar S-Type 3.0 The A/C was working fine then all the sudden the passenger zone started blowing HOT air and the driver zone started blowing cool instead of cold. both zones were set at 65. The air works great at first start-up until the car heats up of course, so I know that the A/C is ok. I was told to change the heater control valve, I did but I still have the same problem. My question is......Is there any components(fuse or relay) between the control valve and the control panel in the dash? The control valve must not be getting the signal to close from the control. Please help!!!!!
IF IT TURNS OUT TOT BE THE CONTROL PANEL FOR THE A.C. THERE IS A PLACE THAT WILL REBUILD YOUR ORIGINAL PANEL - WITH A LIFETIME WARRANTY- AND A 4 DAY TURN AROUND FOR $99.00.
ACTUALLY WITH A REFERENCE CD I PURCHASED ON EBAY I WAS ABLE TO DIAGNOSE AND MAP A REPAIR FOR MY PROBLEM. I ALSO WAS ABLE TO TUNE UP MY JAG MYSELF AND SAVE HUNDREDS. AND WITH THE ADDITIVE I HAD ALREADY DEVELOPED AND USED IN TWO OTHER VEHICLES I NOW GET 36 MPG DRIVING @75MPH WITH CRUISE CONTROL
where is the place that will rebuild my old one for 99.00? please advise?

There are three probable causes of this problem in order of probability. water control solenoid valve air con control module wiring loom fault at front of car
The valve can be removed and tested as this has solenoids that can fail. the air con module can be damaged by the valve failure. If you open the module the most common fault (easily seen) is a burnt out section of printed circuit which can easily be bridged with fine wire soldered in place I fixed my unit this way saving 300 This unit is vulnerable due to not having fuse protection in the case of a solenoid burn-out !
The wiring loom is a break in the signal wire to the water control valve normally found on earlier S Types.
Hope this has been of help - good luck.
I have a 2005 S-Type 4.2 and had the same problem; mine also has the dual temp control as well. Anyway, I was told that there is a solenoid in the coolant system that is not closing properly and the heater core is receiving hot water continuously, fine when the engine is cold and explains the onset of hot air once the engine warms. This occurred for me while under warranty, so I can't comment on costs for P&L, but with this info, you may be able to shop it around or search for other solutions.

MY PROBLEM IS EXACTLY THE SAME AS YOUR - THE ONLY DIFFERENCE IS MY S TYPE IS A 2004. THERE IS A RECENT TSB ON THIS THAT SEEMS TO INDICATE A CONTROL PANEL OR A ELECTRICAL FAULT. IT SEEMS THAT EVERYONE WANTS TO REPLACE THE PANEL AT AROUND 900 TO 1200.00 DOLLARS. THERE HAS TO BE SOME CHRISTIAN JAGUAR MECHANIC OR CHRISTIAN MECHANIC WHO IS FAMILIAR WITH AN AFFORDABLE FIX. I HOPE HE/SHE WILL ANSWER SOON
