Where is oil filter located on jag xtype 20l desiel,

Tools/things you'd need and tips to change oil filter:
1. 27mm socket spanner
2. Lots of rags

Location:
Access is from the N/S/F wheel arch. By the axle

You need to remove the wheel first.
Next, with the 27mm socket spanner you have to remove the filter housing.
Then, remove a couple of clips holding the rubber liner in place.

Once removed, you can gain access to the oil filter inside.

Now, before the entire process, make sure you pack lots of rags to trap/capture potential oil spillage on engine parts, axle, etc.

Your question does not make sense, If you mean when you stop at stop signs etc it does not blow cold?
My answer in this case is that the electric fan's second speed for the aircon is not working. Get it checked

sounds like the injector sleeve O rings have failed this was common.
if you put a clear plastic piece of hose on supply line for diesel fuel filter to head fitting at front and fuel is not black but normal diesel colour thats good.
then put clear hose on return line fitting at rear of cylinder head and fuel is now darker, engine oil is by passing injector sleeve top O rings and entering into fuel gallery in head.
rocker cover, injector rail, injectors need removing and injector sleeves need replacing as well as O rings and seats.
a special tool is needed to remove the injector sleeves out of the head. you will also need to drain the cooling system before removing the injector sleeves, so coolant is also needed.

Were the spark plugs change in it ? Did he check for bad fuel Injecters, Word of advice ,When you own a jag, don,t take it to joe boy the (mechanic) You take it to the (Dealer) Ship, In the long run, It will cost you less ,Then useing joe the mechanic, What does not have a clue about working on a (jag) What to look for when there is a (Problem) With it, One of my nepwews fround that out the hard way when he had a 2005 ,Jag, It penny him to death, In the 2 years that he own the car,

the engine light wont turn off unless the issue is resolves because it iis operated through the CAN ..

jaguar x-type 2ltr diesel 2004 the glow plug warning light flashing, was told dirty fuel on fault code all fuel changed and filters. No problems for 20 miles untill engine was put under power on high revs went into limp mode, warning light glow plug falshing again? any ideas thanks.

It must be extremely tight or cross threaded. try spraying some penetrating oil into the threads and leaving it for a while, then apply a lot of torque and try turn it off. You may have to replace the tank if the treads are damaged.

I purchased very similar here in the UK £4800 (trade) two years ago, only problem so far has been O2 sensor failure which I replaced myself but was still fairly expensive. Other than that car has been good. Check for Jag service history

follow the breather plastic hose probably blck in color and it should go back close to the right hand side headlight. There will be asort of box it connects to and you will need to remove 4 screws i believe. Under that is the breather. Thats where I find it on most vehicles so please know I am guessing here and leave me a good mark for trying. Thanks, Raz
