Question about 1998 Chevrolet Venture Cargo

'98 Chevy Venture Air compressor quit working

Chevy Venture has an accessory air compressor located in the rear on the driver's side, comes with an air hose/tire chuck/pressure dial and can be used to inflate beach toys, tires, etc. Problem is, it quit working. Does not seem to be any power to the switch, it's a momentary contact membrane-type switch that locks in a self-holding relay to start the compressor. Thought it might be a fuse, but there is no reference to the compressor in the list of fuses either in the owner's manual or inside the cover(s) of the two fuse blocks (one under the hood, one on the passenger side of the dash). Really don't want to have to check EVERY fuse, does anyone know what fuse actually supplies the compressor??

My compressor does'nt work when you attach the hose, yet it still makes a noise as if it is working. I checked the book and I think that the fuse is the one marked ELEC TRLR... let me know what you think

I found one fuse under the hood its top left corner small one that is a 30a

best advice is the method i would use to located the orifice tube in the 2000 chevy venture. check the automotive repair book section in your local library. Most libraries have repair manuals on their automotive shelf section. find the a/c manual for your year and model car. make a copy of the page that has the information you need. you will need to make a copy because the library will not let those manuals be checked out. you might want to google for the location of the orifice tube location. I hope this helps.

The air compressor on mine was under the hood on the driver's side, in front of the master cylinder

Envoy air ride compressor

The load leveler sensor operates the compressor. It most likely is malfunctioning. It is located on the rear drivers side lower control arm.

It is located on the drivers side of the engine. On the block ,below the front cylinder head. Theres probably an air/intake hose covering it from the air filter box. Follow the radiator hose on that side to the engine. Itll be to the left of the thermostat housing.

Where is the powertrain control module located in a chevy venture 2003 van?

The pcm is located inside the airbox in the drivers side front corner of the engine compartment. You need to remove the air filter, and it is an aluminum box with fins at the bottom of the box.

I have a air hose hanging off my rear air compressor on my 2003 chevy venture i does not go to the shocks, but has a "T" on it. does anyone knoe where this line is suposed to go?

The hose goes on the compressor by the left rear shock

I have a 2001 Chevy Venture, this fall all of the sudden the air conditioner quit blowing cool air you can push the switch for AC but it doesn't light up or blow cool air. and the rear defroster quit...

I'm afraid I must recommend some professional help with this one. Or maybe a mechanic friend.
There's so many things..... For example the 134a (freon) may have leaked causing the Low Pressure Cut Out Switch, (in the hose under the hood) to keep the compressor off so as to not burn it up.
Could be a fuse or relay. Could be the switch controll on the dash... See what I mean?
Sorry but in my opinion you'll have to bite the bullet and pay the piper. Cheaper in the long run, though. You can replace many things before you luck onto the problem part.

On your 2003 yukon denali, the air ride compressor is located on the driver side rear frame rail on the outboard side, near the fuel filler neck and behind the left rear wheel. Hope this helps!

Location of a secondary air pump on a 2002 chevy venture

The A.I.R pump is located on the driver's side of the vehicle, just in front of the front tire. If you remove the tire & look at the inner fender well, you'll see that it's designed with a "trap door". Remove the screws that hold the door closed, then fold the door back to reveal the pump. What usually happens is the pump sucks in the sponge filter on the intake side & it lodges in the impeller blade...this causes the fuse to blow & eventually a code will set & the Service Engine Light will come on. The fuse is located under the hood in the black fuse box on the passenger side...the box should be clearly visible & easily accessable. Look for a 30A fuse, probably in location # 39.
