2005 Jeep Liberty, does not re- start, does not crank...however I have managed to start it twice now with the key. Both times after charging the battery. battery reading between terminals as low as 12.41 and as high as 13.6 volts. Also note that engine cranked continuously after jumping the starter relay terminals 87 and 30. Disconnected battery terminals overnight and reconnected in morning before one start-up. unable to duplicate results. No Engine codes, although malfunction light flashes four times after key is turned.
SOURCE: Seems no power getting to the starter solenoid
Firstly, Check your starter relay and any fusible links. Since there is power to the solenoid, then there is a short in a relay, a bad fuse, or faulty ignition
