Hello, I would like to install an after-market stereo in my 2005 Mercury Sable, but I don't know which wires connect to what. Someone posted a diagram for the 2005 Ford Taurus, but it has an entirely different set of colors. I would be grateful if someone could pass this information along to me. I've got all the parts I need; now I just need to know which wires are which. Thank you in advance. Have a nice day!

they don't have diagram that i've seen, my roommate has this car and on page 172 of owners manual it gives the number of what fuse does what,, .. which corresponds to the number on the lid of your fuse panel

That's a little tougher than aftermarket ones.All I can suggest is to possibly try a local library.Call and see if they have haynes repair manuals.Some do,some don't.There will be a diagram for it in there with color codes.If they don't have one,you can ask a local dealer if they are willing to give you one at low cost,no cost or even just buy a haynes manual at a national auto parts store,depending on how much car work you do.They go for about $20-$25.Sorry I couldn't do more.You could even just go to "look" at a manual at the parts store and bring a pen and paper and write down the wire codes.

Its possible. In this time span Ford used two different motors, the overhead valve (OHV) Vulcan V6, and the Duratec 24V V6, which will bear the 24v DOHC badge on the front fender.
