Run fine going down the road then started to run rough and very little power
Possible catalytic converter plugging up check spark plugs o2 sensor
SOURCE: 88 dodge dakota has rough idle and stalls at slow down.
Change/thoroughly clean the idle control solenoid. It may be sticking and causing rough idling.
Cleaning it is unlikely to be more than a short-term solution.

Check your fuel filter and your carb. sounds like the you may have gotten dirt in the carb. or your floats are sticking

bad injector?
easy to test with vom, just check from terminal on injector to ground if one reads different thats the problem, you do need to disconnect wire to check, my help is free and will be glad to help further just vote fixa..LOL my rating is all I care about. Hope yu can help me too.

Sounds like you have a vacuam leak.
Check the vacuom hose to the cruise canister........and work yuor way back to the source. I'll bet you find a hose off. Also, listen for any "hissing" sounds (obviously, not the carb).
