The bulb might be out on the service light in which case you will have to remove the cluster and replace the blub. a/c you will have to go to a shop to get looked at. most likely you have a leak somewhere in the system

SOURCE: 2003 Toyota Echo heat not working. Fan, but no heat.

There is a valve on one of the heater hoses that allows heated water to flow through the heater core when you select heat. With heat selected and car warmed up check to see if both of the hoses feel warm. If not then water is not flowing through heater core and valve may need replaced or heater core is stopped up.

How to check the heater on a toyota echo 2003?

if air comes out of the vents but it is not warm/hot, and your temp gauge shows normal engine temp, then the valve that opens the heater core to the hot water flow from the engine is not opening or the heat core is clogged. I would start there.

Is there a way a owner of a 2003 toyota echo can recharge the air conditioning themselves? My daughters car's air conditioning does not blow cold air at all. Just quit working this year , she has owned the...

This job requires special tools and special training. If you lack either, you risk SERIOUS personal injury. Injury comes VERY EASILY!

You need to address oil levels, proper and legal refrigerant recovery, system evacuation, and recharge.

You were planning to also replace the receiver/dryer, correct? It also needs the oil in it measured and incorporated into the amount of oil (in %) that would need to be added. FAILURE to address these and other issues will guarantee premature system failure and likely compressor damage.

Take this job to a qualified shop.
