What is a 112 and a 444 code on my hyundai santa fe
We had an onboard diagnostic check on my hyundai santa fe, 2001, and we want to find out what the codes actually mean before we just take it in to get fixed.. there were two things wrong with it, code 112 and code 444. can you tell me what they are exactly?

Code PO 112 is intake air temperature circuit low input and PO 444 is Evaporative Emission control system purge contol valve circuit open. Both codes could be sensor problems or wiring problems.

sometimes the fuel injector can be out of range but this would give a trouble code. then check spark plug to see if it is wet or fouled. check plug wire for external sparks. last check the coil pack.
sounds like the gearbox might have unexpectedly gave way, best thing to do is take it to a dealer and have them do a diagnostic check to see any error codes that come up. could be a gear selector inside has slipped off.

Don't understand your question. Do you mean CHECK ENGINE LIGHT? If so, then there's one or more DTC's (Diagnostic Trouble Code) stored in the ECU (Engine Contro Unit). You'll need an OBDII (OBD = Onboard Diagnostics) scanner to retrieve any trouble codes. Find one (can be purchased at AutoZone, CarQuest, PEP Boys, O'Riley's, etc.) Let me know what codes are stored/set in the ECU. If you don't wish to do this, then take the veh to a Hyundai Service Center and pay their diagnostic fee. They'll give you an estimate of repairs (parts, labor, tax, time-frame, etc.). This way you'll know EXACTLY what the problem is and what's required to fix it.
