Pontiac grand prix 99 won't start no spark at the spark plugs no link on the scan tool when plug to the dlc what can be the problem

Where are the wires, and do you have spark to the plugs and fuel pressure ?

You will need to remove the coil packs first. To remove coil packs, undo 4 bolts and tip the coils over to the side.

sounds like a bad starter

there is a crank position sensor that is located behind the harmonic balancer. sound like you have a bad one

crank pos. sensor or maf sensor ck. the fuel press reg. also

first,check ignition power supply,starting coil connector,check timing belt break etc..

You will need a scan tool or code reader.You can also go to your local autoparts store and they should have a scan tool to perform this task.

Change the crank position sensor

Make sure it always gets premium fuel...even with premium and especially in warmer weather the GTP will frequently perform the factory programmed KR (knock ******.) In WOT it is also more susceptible to running a lean condition with stock programming.
Things you can do to troubleshoot the problem and give more consistant performance with the GTP is run colder range copper core plugs and/or any brand of cold air intake, or even a stand alone 9" open element cone filter. Both are better than stock and provide more airflow even though the stock airbox was redesigned in '99. What else you can do is not limited to that but a start. Good luck.
