The 3.3L engine fuel system operates at 55 psi (379 kPa). With the engine idling and the manifold vacuum applied to the regulator, the system operates at approximately 46 psi (317 kPa). Without vacuum applied to the regulator, the 3.5L engine fuel system operates at 48 psi (331 kPa). With the engine idling and the manifold vacuum applied to the regulator, the system operates at approximately 39 psi (269 kPa).---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Audi A3 2.0 FSI 2004 I leave the car overnight, the engine turns over but will not fire up. However. a quick spray of "Easy Start", and the engine starts and will start every time that day

Fuel pressure regulator may be going bad. It's supposed to hold pressure in the fuel rail while the engine is shut down. When cranking, the fuel pump has to build pressure again before the injectors will properly inject fuel. Try turning the key on (without cranking) for about five seconds, then back off. Do this two or three times, then try to start the engine. If it starts right away, you need a fuel pressure regulator. These can be located on the fuel rail, or in/on the fuel tank.

1999 Suburban passlock security

Not sure I am following you.
The security system is supposed to keep the engine from cranking if the correct key is not used.
The check gauge and charging light would be on until the engine starts.
You have checked fuel pressure with a gauge and you know the line is not pressurized when you crank the engine ?

1990 s-10 4 cylinder 2.5, 5 speed, throttle body injection, 120,000 miles won't start without stating fluid. Runs fine after started, I've changed fuel pump, filter, plugs. I appreciate any help.

My first question would be is the injector spraying when you crank it ?
The way its supposed to work, the fuel line to the tank should have about 10psi of pressure before you crank the engine. When you turn the key on the pump gets power for 3 seconds to boost the pressure. The pump stops working until the engine has oil pressure which takes a few seconds.
If the base fuel pressure leaks back to the tank, or the pump relay is not powering the pump, you won't have any fuel pressure or spray until you get oil pressure.

Cold start problem mazda 2001

Could be the fuel pump relay, or a faulty pump, or pressure regulator.
The fuel system is supposed to hold pressure after you turn the engine off. A faulty pump or pressure regulator could allow fuel to drain back into the tank overnight. You would need to crank the engine for several seconds to build pressure back up.
The relay could be faulty and not giving the fuel pump power until the oil pressure comes up.

Won`t start when cold

No such thing on your car.
The temp sensor tells the computer what the engine coolant temp is.
If it were faulty you would get a check engine light.
I would have the fuel pressure checked before and after you crank the engine. The pump relay provides power to the pump when you turn the key on to recover some of the lost fuel pressure after the car sits. The one way valve in the pump is supposed to prevent the pressure from dropping.
If the fuel pressure drops to zero it could take some time to crank the engine enough to get it back up.

When i fuel up 88 blazer, there is pressure building in the gas tank, ( it hisses when i open the cap) and when driving down the road it seems to be very sluggish and sometimes even dies... but this seems...

the pressure in the fuel tanks supposed to be there, your fuel pump,,,pumps 180lbs of pressure to the engine all the time.your engine requires it. so if you do not hear that pressure when you remove the gas cap,you do have a problem. but it does sound like you have a possible fuel injector or maybe 2 fuel injectors clogging.simple to give you solution.add lucas fuel injector cleaner to your fuel tank.a clogged fuel injector will seem like an engine misfire also, just because fuel bulds in the cylinder at times, then the spark plug fires and then BOOM the engine misses while in motion. sound familiar? the lucas costs $5.00 and will treat 25 gallons of fuel. try this, and please let me know if this helps!!

1992 ford ranger 3.0

i was once pulling a trailer with a ranger when it suddenly lost power and the engine died. turns out the problem was with the fuel shut off inertia switch. the switch is supposed to activate in case of accident. on my model the inertia switch is located in the passenger side under the glove box. dont know where yours is located. once you find it, just push the button and see if it resets. good luck.
