You are ok with that. The numbers are
Xxx tire width
Xx is profile
R is rim size
Changing the profile is what throws speedometer off

SOURCE: can I put 215/70/R15 winter tires from 2002

yes you can, basically you can just about put any size tire on as long as it fit however 215 is the height of the tires, by putting smaller or taller tires than recommended by the manufacture will effect you speed odometer. 70 is the width of the tires, the wider the better traction and 15 is the size of the tires that will fit the rims. Here is example...

Specification Sidewall Radius Diameter Circumference Revs/Mile Difference 215/75-15 6.3in 13.8in 27.7in 87.0in 728 0.0% 225/75-15 6.6in 14.1in 28.3in 88.9in 713 2.1%

The ABS system "pumps" the brakes rapidly when needed to prevent the vehicle from going into a skid. You can drive without it, and the brakes will work, but this important safety feature will not be working. Service/repair requires a professional mechanic.

SOURCE: Can I place 4 215/75/R15

The 215's will give you less ground clearance and may affect your speedometer accuracy a bit. Other than that and that it may look a bit different, there should be no real problem.

Tire size 65r16 diameter 215

No, not well. The rolling radius is bigger and will make your speedo read 5.5% slower than you are really going.

A 215/55 R16 is within a 1% match (0.7%) but will give a harsh ride. A 215/60 R15 will make your speedo read 2.5% slower than actual, not too bad, and it will ride better.

I have a 2005 nissan sentra. Tire size is 195/60 R15. I have the chance to get 2 195/65 R15 tires at a good price, and want to put them on the back, keeping the 195/60's on the front. Will this be OK? Some...

Hi!

195(width in mm)/60(sidewall height in % of width) R15(rim diameter)

This means, a 195/60 R15 rides lower than a 195/65 R15 tire. Imagine how it would look like when you put these different tire sizes on one car. It can be done but the car will be unbalanced both mechanically and aesthetically. Remember, your car was not designed for different front and rear tire sizes unlike some sports cars.

A 2005 model will most like come standard with ABS as with most cars produced year 2001 onwards.
Just buy 1 tire size for your car. If you wish to change to another tire size, change all the tires.

Good luck!

Tires matter on same size rim?

both tires will fit on the 15 inch rim
But be advised make sure you have same size tires on the drive wheels being as your car is front wheel drive u want both the front tires to be the same size
if this is not done u will burn up your transmission
if you have to put a odd ball tire on put it on the rear

exact opposite is true for rear wheel drive car on a rear wheel drive car u want both rear tires to be the same size

Dimension Tire A: 195/65 R 15

Tire size differences 225 to 215 is this a problem or not

not usually for example 215 75 r 15 tire has a 215mm tread width the sidewall is 75% of that width(or aspect ratio) and the R15 is the rim diameter the tire will fit

so to answer your question a 225 tire going to a 215 tire the 215 will be just slightly narrower and just slighly shorter than the 225

What size tire do i need for an 01 dodge grand caravan?

You can find this solution at www.tires.com. There are a few options you need to know about the vehicle such as trim level (ES, Sport) and if its front wheel drive or all wheel drive. You can also find this information on the sidewall of your existing tires. It should be be in a format such as 215/65 16 or 215/65R16. The 215 refers to the tire width, the 65 to the ratio of the side wall compared to the tire width and the 16 or R16 is the size of the wheel (rim).

What size tires fit a 2002 dodge caravan sport?

It should state in the sticker on the b post (drivers side or passenger). When you open a front door (can't remember what side it would be on but usually drivers side) you should see what is best for your vehicle.
