You have 2 posibilities.there are 2 motors on the heater box that run the blend doors for each side. That side motor may be bad or worst case the blend door arm that connects to the motor is broken. If it is broken the whole dash has to be removed so the heater box can be taken out to replace the blend doors.Big job,do a heater core while your there if you fix it so you dont have to do it again.

hi there mate am i right in thinking from what your saying there are 2 sets of BLEND DOORS each with seperate motors then !! as opposed to just the one Actuator motor running the blend doors on the passenger side!!? I can get easily to the Actuator motor on the passenger side via the glove box but if there is another one on the passenger side Im guessing thats when the whole dash comes out !! is that right ??

The problem im having with this BLOODY CAR is there is little or no air coming through the cabin or the window vents however i can get access to the autuator motor on the passenger side and move the blend dorrs manually using my hand to turn the nob , when I do that all that happens is

Turning it to the right = more pressure coming through but Very cold

Turning It to the left = Less pressure but now it goes warm

    Any ideas please help

Passenger side heater blowing cold, now drivers side the same. Water levels OK no leaks. Jeep Grand Cherokee

Hi, you have a problem with your flaps that control the hot and cold air, there are flaps in the dash and they are made out of plastic and the like to break so you will have to remove the dash and renew those flaps

01 jeep grand cherokee limit driver side air warm

You have the blend doors problem which needs to be fixed. At jeep it is about £1300, by EDM in bicester it is £255 and maintains dual control. I would imagine the recirc dooe is or soon will go as well.

2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo ac not cooling

My 1999 limited does this. When i bought it off the guy he said that its because of some flap down by the passengers left foot. In mine the passenger air barely even blows because of this.

2002 jeep grand cherokee heater doesn't blow hot

If ythe heater core is not bad then I would replace the thermostat, this will stop the warm coolant running up to your engine go to the heater core.

Heater core 2002 jeep grand cher.

I purchased a Blen Door repair kit. for my 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee after having only cold air blow out of the passenger side for over a year. I found it on EBay. It requires you remove the glove box, cut open the heater box and replace the blend door. I really didn't want to cut that open, however, with the tape that comes with it, I have had no problems with it leaking any air. The dual control no longer works, the temperature is now completely controlled by the drivers side, but to save $1200, I was willing to do this. I have taken the entire thing out before to replace the heater core, didn't want to do it again.

2001 Grand Cherokee Heat on one side cold air on the other side?

The blend door on the passenger side has broken. Jeep has made a replacement section for the heater box assembly so you don't have to buy the whole thing. You will need to remove the heater/A/C box to replace the part. I have done quite a few of these repairs to fix the problem
