I have a 2014 Nissan Altima that won't go or reverse could that be the transmission module???

car is only two year old

wont select reverse of revs out in reverse?

module says std automatic and not a CVT transmission
when a module goes into fail safe you always have reverse and third

check oil level first
wont select
check shift cables or linkages adjustment shift stick alignment

revs out
more likely a solenoid or mechanical failure
if there is a bang as you shift into reverse its the oil pump

if none of the above are the cause
could be the module ......not sure on that

I have a 1997 Hyundai Excel and its surging at about 3000 rpm and under load like climing hills what would cause this. Tia

Engine is surging or the transmission slipping? My guess is the transmission is slipping, letting the engine rev up to 3000. Does it feel like it quits pulling?

Reverse is hard to engage transmission struggles in reverse

Failing transmission would be the most common cause.

When you step on accelerator the car lacks power and surges. Engine appears to run good but it struggles to go over 40 MPG.

Have a diagnostic test done to show what codes come up. That way you won't be guessing and buying wrong parts.

Fiesta revs struggling

ive seen transmissions cause this in high-end luxery cars... but that being said..

-sounds like your fuel filter is clogged. (i just shake mine out and run carb cleaner in it, which i do every 15,000 miles)
-could also be fuel pump
-loose battery terminal
-bad alternator
-clogged MAF sensor

Put car in reverse and it won't go. Put it into drive and still won't go. Rev car in reverse and finally will back up. Same when put into drive, rev car and it will finally go. Help

Tom it could be that the transmission fluid is low. Sometimes these are safety mechanisms to keep from burning out the transmission. Check the transmission level to make sure it is at the appropiate level. If it does not work after that it could be transmission issue.

Loss of power, when going in reverse feels like it struggles a little bit, "kicks" when i step on the gas

CHANGE TRANSMISSION FILTER AND FLUID.IF ALREADY DONE.YOUR MANUAL SHIFT LINKAGE NEED ADJUSTMENT.OR REVERSE BAND NEED ADJUSTMENT OR WORN OUT. DEPEND ON TRANSMISSION TYPE NOT ALL FORD TRANSMISSIONS REVERSE BAND APPLY IN REVERSE.YOU COULD HAVE WORN REVERSE CLUTCH DRIVE PLATES OR LEAKING PISTONS SEALS.

2004 Fiesta Struggling through Gears

That's a difficult one to diagnose without driving the car. Is there a local transmission shop you could go to?
