Test both the cooling fan relay and the fuse (located under the hood and inside the control module box).

For the inop blower fan, test the switch if the fuse checks out.

SOURCE: 96 acura running hot

most likely, the thermostat needs to be replaced.

if that doesn't fix it, check the water pump

SOURCE: overheating on my acura legend

Ding ding ding ding! You guessed correct, the head gasket is bad. The usual sign for head gaskets gone bad is coolant mixing with the oil on the dipstick but not so on some of the overhead cams. I just finished tearing my 91 acura down after replacing two themostats as advised by a "mechanic with 20 plus years". Its not the water pump I'd say. Its a tough job to do but a possible one if you have some know- how and a ton of patience. If you are going to replace the head gasket, you may as well do the timing belt, waterpump, and the three drive belts. You're half-way there with the motor tore down. Its VERY expensive for a repair shop to do and you may want to check around before getting it done.

SOURCE: cooling fan for acura tl 2000 does not work

If you can locate the temperature switch, looks like a large bolt head with 2 wires on it, bridge the wires on it, and this should make the fan work. If the fan works then this switch is faulty. If the fan doesn't then it could be the fuse, or a broken wire.
The fan switch is either on the radiator or on the thermostat housing.
If you can get to it easy, short across with a screwdriver.

SOURCE: 1999 acura 2.3cl the car is not overheating,

The problem you describe is an indication of a bad head gasket.

Take it to a shop and have them test for this.

Why is my heat or air is not blowing and car is running hot

How hot is the engine running in degrees f? Does the radiator fan run?
With hvac turned on, check voltage and ground at the blower motor. If good voltage and ground, suspect the blower motor is faulty.

I have a 2002 Acura. While driving yeaterday, with the AC on high and fan on high, the fan turned off. Will not come on even heat mode, no fan at all. I checked 4 different fuses and they were all g

The fan is located behind the glove box, above the passengers feet. The 2 most common failures are the blower motor and the blower resistor. This system is a switch to ground setup. Unplug the blower plug and see which wire is hot, it should always be with the key on. With the car running and the fan switch on, hit the blower with the palm of your hand. If it comes on, it is bad. the brushes wear out. Also you can unplug the resistor, and ground the output wire at the blower, or resister. to see if it works.

The heater in the car is not functioning properly. The heater core is not clogged because the water does run through. What might be causing the vehicle not force out sufficient heat.

The radiator in the car just carries hot water if the tap control is opened properly . What forces the air through the core and into the cabin is a fan/ blower that is apparently not working. Check fuse and if all ok then it may be the speed control resistors in the blower housing have burnt out.

2002 nissan altima heater problem

have 2002 altima, blower works no heat at idle and very little heat when accelerating.I changed carbon cabin filter, made sure little gear under dash to temp knob wasnt broken, flushed and bled system.Nothing worked so checked hoses to heater core and found inlet hose was hot, outlet hose was not.So investigated this problem and came to conclusion heater core was clogged. An easy way to check is to get car to normal running temp. put on heater and blowers at full.Go under dash on passenger side where counsel meets firewall, this is where heater core core inlet and outlet aluminum tubbing go through firewall, you will be able to feel both tubes one closest to you is outlet, so if this one is not hot and and other is your heater core is clogged.I detached both inlet and outlet hoses to heater core from water control valve. Then I blasted water with waterhose and nozzle set at jet, first through outlet hose to blow gunk out, then through inlet hose until water runs clear.Reatach hoses fill and bled system.heater works great nice and hot!

Heater not working, blower does work but not hot

Sounds like Heater matrix blocked, check pipes going from engine bay into bulk head both should be getting hot if one is not then may be worth removing pipes and trying to flush it through as would be expensive to renew it as its a large job.
