The Antenna itself could have come loose from the Back of the Radio

The Amp is normally in-line as part of the Antenna

If it is plugged in properly, then you should replace the antenna and cable (they normally come together

SOURCE: Where is the battery located on a 2007 Jaguar XK

Hi, the battery is at the rear of the trunk/boot compartment, remove the floor panel (lift handle and pull the panel out) then remove the luggage cover 9the soft "blind" that is moved when lowering the roof) this lifts backwards and up. There are four small round "knobs" at each corner or the vertical panel facing you at the rear of the compartment (the rear of the back seats) remove these by unscrewing counterclockwise (they then pull out) the vertical panel will now come free when pulled to reaveal the battery in the top left hand corner, it has security bolts on the front retaining bar and 10mm bolts on both terminals and the right hand safety retainer. (NB the positive terminal is on the right, the negative terminal on the left) I hope this helps, regards, Baz

Sat nav and radio not working

Good Afternoon Michael

Sounds most likely to be an antenna issue. Most everything going into the radio needs an antenna to be picked up. Sometimes, a station or two might still be heard above the static if they are local and fairly strong signals.

If you can get normal sound from other inputs, like MP3 players or CDs, then the amp and output parts of the unit are fine, and it's an issue of getting an input signal to use.

If you have the tools, pull the stereo head unit from the dash and make sure the antenna input cable(s) are firmly in place. Likewise, depending on location, you can likely get to the base of the external antenna, where the other end of the cable plugs in, and make sure it's in snugly.

lacking the tools - you can talk to your dealer or a local car audio place. They'll likely have the tools, and a check for antenna cable connection would not likely be too expensive or time-intensive.

Good Luck!

Radio makes a noise but will not pick up any stations. Would it be the antenna?

Most likely the receiver inside the radio. When antennas come loose, the radio will still pick up a signal when you thumb through the stations. There will be static, but you can hear the station.

Jaguar XK (2007) Convertible: On an intermittent basis, when the car is started, the main control screen doesn't launch (I'm left with the Jaguar symbol only. So, no Nav, audio, reversing sensor, etc....

thats a problem with the d2b fibre optic system more than likely the module wake up call to the d2b modules is missing corroded or bad connection or a faulty module in the ring not passing the message around. think its white/orange wire that goes around the modules.be a good idea to take to a jag dealer the have the correct diagnostic kit to a module comms test

Is is possible to repair a power aerial which has pulled out? XK 2007

I don't think you are going to repair it, it will need replacing, a coat hanger will work, but won't look too good on the jag. Unless you have some special tools that will crimp on the antennae. Maybe a radio installer can do it, those guys are pretty handy. Hope this helps.

2007 Camry: I can't receive clear radio channel in camry 2007 ...

if you have a factory radio, then chance are you antenna is amplified (even if you don't have an antenna that goes up in the back). The fuse for the antenna amplifier could have blown or the amplifier itself my have gone bad. It could also be your radio but, i would check those things first... Just a side note: i don't know of any stations that around me that aren't odd numbers 92.3 fm,95.5 fm,100.3 fm. Where you able to tune it to 100 fm before?

The radio on my 2003 Envoy quit working. The display on the radio says "need amp." A new amp was put in and the radio still does not work. What could be wrong?

Radio sends a 12V signal that switches on the amp which has it's own power suply but won't switch on till signaled from deck. Check to see if the amp is powering up.
