I have the same problem with my 99 accord. For the past few years, I have been able to change out the fuse in the fuse box on the passenger side under the hood of the car up near the windshield. There is a map of the fuses on the top of the box. Hope this helps!

SOURCE: Change Automatic Transmission oil

Honda's are drain and refill only. The filter is internal inside the transmission and can only be accessed during an overhaul. On the bottom of the transmission case is a drain plug that is gold in color. It is removed using a 3/8" ratchet,or extension with a ratchet atached. There is also an aluminum washer that must be kept track of and reinstalled with the drain plug or a leak will occur. After draining the trans, and reinstalling the drain plug,Honda genuine automatic transmission fluid,or an equivalent with a highly fricition modified additive must be used,or harsh shifting can occur.I would install about 3 quarts after draining, and start checking the level at this point. The fluid level is checked with the engine OFF,on level ground.

SOURCE: automatic transmission slipping

if it is slipping and the trans fluid level is within specs then the forward clutch pack in the trans is worn out and you need an overhaul.

SOURCE: 98 Honda Accord V6 automatic

You need to check to resistance of all solenoids of this transmission.
If you are referring to the solenoids on the front lower portion of the transmission, a 10 mm socket with a 3 inch extension and a ratchet will remove the solenoids. you can check them out of the vehicle. if one is out of spec, you must replace both b and c shift solenoid. Note Honda refers to these solenoids as solenoid and solenoid B. One more thing, if you disconnect the battery and take the battery and battery tray out, if is very easy to get to all the solenoids. Make sure you have the security code for the radio, or it may not have full function when powered up. Good Luck

How do I fix it if my car goes to drive but wont change gear

Sounds like it is an automatic. You may have something stuck in the console preventing you the shifter from going past D. Easy enough to take apart and examine. May be some old french fries arestuck in there or a lipstick or a lighter or a coin. My best guess is it is a coin or coins. If not in the console, the shifter cable linkage connects to the transmission under a small access plate. Could be that the linkage is loosened somehow or the bolts have come loose and it is is preventing it from shifting into 2nd.

Unless of course you mean that when you put it into 2 or second it does not go, that is a different problem. That is an internal transmission problem. It may be time for a rebuild or perhaps the shifter solenoids for second gear are bad or you need to add and or change the transmission fluid.

Where can i get a diagram online for a 92 vigor auto trans i want to know how to take gears out to change selector fork for fourth gear

You probably won't find one. In an automatic transmission you cannot just simply remove gears or change the selector fork (especially because there isn't one). Everything needs to be there or it won't work at all.

1997 accord lx hard shifting, what can i do?

If it's automatic, drain the trans fluid and clean the magnetic drain bolt. Remove and clean the screens on the two solenoids on the front of the transmission. Honda does NOT recommend flushing your transmission with any solvents. Refill to the correct level according to your owner's manual.

If it's a manual transmission, change your gear oil in the transmission according to your owner's manual and hope it's not your synchros.

AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION GEAR SYSTEM PROBLEM

Yes,that code is a transmission code, pressure control solenoid A.On a Honda trans, there are two solenoids that control line pressure inside the trans. The two of them are made together into one assembly that Honda calls "Linear Solenoids".Most likely they are defective and need replacing, but require testing. They are mounted on the outside of the trans case,so the problem can be repaired without removing the transmission from the car.The actual diagnostic route for that trouble code involves ohms checking the wires from the vehicle computer to the solenoids.Ohms checking the solenoids, amps chekcing the solenoids, and then installing a line pressure gauge on the transmission to test the solenoids mechanically.I rebuild Honda and Acura transmissions on a regular basis, and solenoid failure is not out of the ordinary.Good luck.

Hard Shifting 1997 5 Speed Honda Civic Manual Transmission

if its manual transmission, when moving in any gear try stepping on the gas pedal, does the engine feels like its running away? if it does it maybe the clutch lining is expended expensive job.
If not you have to check the clutch fluid level or a leak in the master cylinder (at the foot pedal) assembly or in the slave(clutch lever actuator) the clutch actuator may not be traveling (pushing) sufficiently to give you an adequate clutch separation in other words you are trying to shift the gears with little or no clutch at all.
There is an overhaul kit that you can buy (cheap) for the master or the slave. easy to do really just remove, disassemble, replace the rubber seals and cups, reinstall, bleed the air out.
