Good evening welcome to fixya
you can purchase the wiring harness at your local walmart or stereo center for about 10 dollars that will in turn plug into your factory chassis harness, then is color coded to your radio just plug and play. hope this helps out just let me know if factory connector has been cut this will also aid you in telling what wire goes where. good luck and talk to you soon

Where is the dome light fuse located for 1996 gmc jimmy

There are two - one at the left end of the dash (with driver's door open) and one under the hood on the driver's side. Fuse details are on the inside of the covers.

My 96 Jimmy is not a passlock security system. it is an aftermarket Viper. How do I disable this?

You'll need to disconnect the wire harness and splice the original wires back together.

On our 1996 gmc jimmy I replaced the transmission now it will not shift at all. did I miss something?

Did the old transmission do the same thing? Could be the control module or bad wiring. Could be you got another bad transmission.

1996 jimmy gmc fuse box

Look on the driver's side fender well under the hood. Should be a long black rectangular box there. That is the power center or fuse block. The relays and fuses are inside. The top is not hard to remove. Hope this helped and best wishes.

I need to replace my 2001 gmc jimmy passenger side mirror, the whole thing. i already perchased a new mirror, i just need to know how to get inside and unhook the wires and screws so i can get my new one...

Very simple....but take your time.

Pry the plastic cover off from the interior side of the mirror. Once you have that popped off, unfasten the mirror, have some one hold the old mirror from the outside. Pull up on the mirror assembly and the wire harness to should become visible. Unclip the harness, toss the old mirror and reverse installation of your new one.

That's it!....But take your time!
