Whirring sound after long drives 2006 Chrysler Town & Country

YOU NEED A NEW ALTERNATOR..YOU CAN ALSO GET A VOLT METER TO TEST THE CHARGING SYSTEM WHEN CAR IS RUNNING/CONNECT POSITIVE CABLE TO POS ON BATT/CONNECT NEG ALSO TO NEG ON BATT SEE IF ITS READING VOLTAGE!!

remove the belt and see how much play is on the alt pulley sounds like a bearing wearing out.

put power steering/trans fluid in the power steering reservoir.

Different problems here.
Code 2503 can be charging system low or a problem with the AIR pump system (emissions) If the code is for the charging system it could have set if the engine was run without a belt.
Code 441 is a problem with the EVAP emission system which checks the fuel tank for leaks. A faulty gas cap or running the engine with the cap off can set this code.
I would clear the codes and drive the van to see if they come back.
The noise could be a bearing in the water pump or other accessory that is failing.

check fluid levels specialy the power streering if its alternator your charge light should be on also check waterpump make sure there is no play in water pump pully or any leaks

COULD BE A NUMBER OF THINGS OPEN HOOD TRY TO PIN POINT WHERE ITS COMEING FROM

If it is making the noise when turning the wheel while stationary or parallel parking, then the fluid level may be low.

If it is not low then the pump itself is wearing out if it has a grinding noise.

Changing the power steering pump is recommended.

it sounds like it could be your vicous fan coupling, it usually makes a funny noise when its wearing out

If you have fire, then it's probably a fuel problem. Turn the key to the on position, you should hear a 'whirring' sound from the gas tank, which is the fuel pump. This sound will only last a few seconds , but should indicate that the fuel pump is working. If no sound, check the fuel pump fuse, fuel pump relay, and the fuel pump itself . Good luck.
