I have a 2000 buick regal. the abs brakes have a studdering feel and noise, like when stopping going bumps, but this happens on smooth surfaces. is it the ebcm or something less expesive. what are my choices to solve the problem.
If you are braking hard and one or more wheels lose grip, the ABS system will modulate brake pressure in pulses to the slipping wheels. That is a normal feeling when this is happening. If you have a pulsation under light braking, it is likely that you have brake rotors that are no longer true and and need to be replaced or machined.

this happens when doing light brakeing and the roters and brakes are relatively new. i have a code of C2116 ECBM command presure release too long.
When I run over a speed bump, I hear a buzzing sound (like the windshield wiper pump) from the center/right side of the front car end. The noise is intermittant (sometimes it doesn't happen). The noise sounds electronic; however, it is caused by the speed bump's physical shake.
I have noticed that my front break pads are noticeably worn unevenly. Perhaps one of the calipers are not firing correctly, causing the abs system to adjust and so make that noise????
