Locked out of '95 Chevy C1500; need to open hood from outside

I have a '95 Chevy C1500. It has no exterior door handles and opens with poppers by a remote control. The problem is that the battery is dead, so the doors won't pop. So now I can't get into the car to pop the hood so I can charge the battery to open the doors.

I don't want to call a locksmith because I got ripped off last time this happened. Is there a way to pop the hood from the outside? I can get the hook in the center of the hood open, but have no idea where the latch is that you release from the inside. Thanks!
