Find the MAF sensor, it should be right on top of the throttle body. Start the car and wiggle the connector. If you hear a change in engine RPM replace the MAF and connector. Sometimes tapping lightly on the MAF itself will also cause the engine rpms to change.

Find the fuel pressure regulator. you should see it mounted on the return line of the fuel rail under the plastic engine cover. it will have a small vacuum hose attached to it. Remove the hose and see if gas comes out of the regulator. If it does replace it immediately.

SOURCE: Fuel leak (smell is in the passenger vent) but cannot be located.

sounds like it could be a leaking fuel rail. you should fix this very soon. if it is it is a fire hazard. that is if it is under hood and not underneath. look under vehicle and check for wet spots.

SOURCE: I have a 98 buick LeSabre showing a random missfire code

Disconnect the battery for about a half hour or so. This could clear the code and turn off the light. If it has a problem the light will return. If it does replace the spark plugs one at a time being sure the gap is perfect.

I would check spark plugs and wires. I have had similar problems from a mis-gapped or lose spark plug or wire. most misses are more noticeable at low speeds
