I also think that the c clip is the answer not sure that position of it is as important as the outward pressure(evenly on each side of the shaft,or a puller from the end)

SOURCE: subaru cv axle noise?

Do you know if this car has ever been recked? if your going thru that many axels makes me think something is not running true, a wheel bearing would not make a cv joint in a axel go bad. Did you replace the axels? or did you have them done at a shop, and did you see the old axels after they were replaced. You got bigger problems than a wheel bearing. From what i can gather some thing is bent or your getting bunch of bad axels witch i dought.

SOURCE: 85 cj7 rear axle removal

Do you have bolt in axels? or are they held in with C- clips? If its bolt in axels you need to remove the bolts, and you may need an axel puller to get them out. If its got C- clips rear cover on rearend has to come off, and pin has to be removed to get C- clip out to get axel out.

How do I remove the front right axle on my 1989 ford tempo so I can replace it?

You have to remove the tire, brake caliper, caliper mount, and rotor. Then remove two bolts that hold the strut to the steering knuckle. Leave one bolt in without the nut. Now you need a large socket that fits the nut on the axle. Remove nut then pull hub assembly off axle spline shaft. Then grab the shaft securely and give it a good hard yank. This calaspses the compression ring on the axle shaft and pulls the shaft free. Check seal and replace if necessary. Install in reverse order. Good luck I hope this solves your problem. I need to remove my front axel on my 1989 toyota camry

Jack up car and apply e-brake. car will roll if one of the front tires leaves the ground. remove tire , spindal nut and lower ball joint bolts. remove axle from hub then use a prybar to pop it out of trans. the passenger side will have a braket holding axle to engine , remove bolts from braket or squeeze snap-ring to rmove axle from braket.

The boot on my left hand side of the power steering rack had ripped how do i get the steering rack of the 1989 toyota camry

are you talking about the drivers side trans-axle? if you are then it is the CV boot that is ripped, it is easier to replace the axle. Loosen lug nuts, jack car up, place on jack stands, remove tire, remove and suspend brake caliper, remove rotor, I believe it is like a 1 inch and 1/4 socket to remove the wheel bearing nut, the CV joint can be pushed through and then removed. Hope this helped

Can the boot that is torn be replaced on a CMB axle or is it called CV axle? or does the whole thing need to be replaced?

the boot can be replaced, but you have to dissassemble the joint to install it, check the balls and surfaces for any sign of wear or pitting, and use all the grease from the kit

Car won't move while in gear or stay still in park

You have either broken an axle or the differential is gone in the trans axle. If it is just an axle maybe 1 or 2 hundred dollars. If it is the trans axle you are looking at possibly $1000 or more. Sounds more like it is the trans axle though. Mike

1994 toyota camry axle installation

The old seal may be stopping you.
you must hold axle straight in line it will slide easily in to a point at which you must give a good hard push to seat the axle.
Do whatever you can to verify the shaft is the correct one, and that the internal parts are free of metal shavings use break clean, rags and a magnet.
Apply correct oil or grease to axle prior to installation and install a new seal.
