SOURCE: how do you change spark plugs on a toyota yaris
First you must remove the plastic cover from on top of the engine to access the ignition coils. The next step is to remove the ignition coils. To do this you must carefully disconnect the plug by holding down the plastic tab while pulling the plug off the coil. Then you must remove the small bolts holding the coils to the valve cover. Pull the coils straight out. To remove the spark plugs you will need a torque wrench, long extension and a self holding spark plug socket. All these can be bought at your local auto parts store. The spark plugs are removed by unscrewing them from the cylinder head and pulling them straight out. Installation is the reverse of removal. The spark plugs are tightened to 25 foot pounds of torque and the small bolts for the ignition coils are tightened to 10 foot pounds of torque.

Check the condition of the pads, disks, and operation of both. They should be freely moving. Also check that your brake lines are free of air and that your fluid is clean.
Also check that the vacuum line to your brake servo is intact, and that you have adequate vacuum to your servo.
