2004 Nissan Xterra. Battery died and now the radio will not turn

it has 2 or more problems
battery bad or allowed to discharge or alternator dead
fuses blown.
and very low fuel pressure. (no engine told)
it at least runs, and when it does the dash lamp cluster CHARGE/BATTERy warning lamp must be out, IS IT?

well..14v at terminals is float voltage..the lights will drain into the reserve..sounds like your battery needs a nice long deep charging session..try that first..

have you checked tthe timing and also make sure the shear pin on distributer gear is not broke

Check the cleanliness and tightness of the battery terminals. Loosen, twist and retighten them. Also check the cleanliness and tightness of the black earth cable where it attaches to the engine block/bodywork. A bad earth can cause the symptoms you describe.

A quick check you can do is to connect a jump cable to the battery negative terminal - the earth - and connect the other end of the cable to somewhere suitable on the engine/bodywork.

If the car starts no problem with the jumper cable - it's pointing towards a bad earth/connection somewhere on the battery earth

CHECK FUSE AT BACK OF RADIO

you will then need to call the nissan dealer and they can guide you through it

SEE IF SOME ONE CAN GIVE YOU A HOT SHOT YOUR BATTERY MAY BE WEAK AND THAT CLICKING NOISE IS THE SIGN OF NOT ENOUGH JUICE GETTING TO THE STARTER

Try connecting a jump pack to the battery or take battery off and completely re charge the battery if u still get clicking noises it could be starter motor
