Just had new clutch kit fitted by qualified mac. mech fly wheel new slave clynder gears not crunching or hard to select but clutch is slipping and shuddering did he change all of it or just some of it? this is what it was like when i first took it there, it started a couple of day after i got it back not happy $500.00 Dave
The clutch m/cyl has a compensating port that blocks up and doesn't fully release the clutch fork. Mostly the mechanic would have done what you asked to be done but as a matter of course he should have tested the clutch operation before handing back the car. I suggest you discuss the problem with him and explain that he hasn't fixed the problem that it came in for.
SOURCE: clutch peddle will not mash.
when you bleed the system you need to force fluid from the slave cylinder up threw the master cylinder . this is proper way to bleed clutch system.
SOURCE: The clutch is loose and the gears crunch? Hyundai
You need a new clutch plate for transmission

Hi first lift the car and be sure to secure the car that it wouldn't fall when your under the car, remove the wheels then disconnect the negative cable from the battery remove the axles, remove the transmission mount, remove the starter, remove the bolts around the transmission housing once you remove the bolts use a floor jack and put it under the transmission then use a prior and separate the tranny from the engine and bring the tranny to the floor now you have the clutch expose remove the old clutch and pressure plate and pilot bearing now do the same thing in reverse good luck
SOURCE: Frequent useof clutch causes clutch pedal to go hard clutch slips
Adjust the clutch push rod (under the dash).
SOURCE: Clutch was slipping real bad, changed gears just
check the clutch linkage and make sure it'd not binding and di you replace the pressure plate? if not then it will need to be replace to stop the slipping if the linkage is not sticking or jamming. If the pressure plate springs are broke it would cause it to slip, also if the master cylinder is not releasing this could cause it to slip.
