Need to remove the interior door panels and check all the linkages. One of them is a brittle plastic linkage that is famous for breaking, and bits get caught up in the travel path of the door handle. I had taht issue, and rebult all mine with aftermarket plastic linkages, and the metal parts I pulled from junkyard cars. No way to fix it without removing the interior door panels, but that is thankfully a pretty easy job.

My drivers door wont open the outside.

Broken handle. You can get another from years 89-94. Just be sure to change out the lock cylinder with the one that is broken.

Cannot open driver front door from outside

On the inside trim, you can remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. Then you'll need to manipulate the panel and disconnect the door handle linkage from the door handle and disconnect the wiring for your controls. Pull back the weather seal (if it has one) and then you can access the outer door handle. It sounds like the linkage connecting the handle to the latch may have broken/separated

I have a 1988 jaguar xj6 and the outside door handles dnt open

If you havent' already broken the door handles tugging on them, inside the door you will find a linkage with a tensioner adjustment. You need to tighten that linkage adjuster. You will find if you take off the inside door panel and pull the linkage manually the door retanier will actuate. The job is a PIA, and requires a couple of very long, very small box wrenches. Dont attempt to adjust the linkage without loosening the retaining nut, the linkage will shear right off, thus making the outer door handles permanently locked Good luck.

The two back doors for a jaguar xj6 1994 do not, open email afernadez730hotmail.com

If the doors will open from the outside, but do not open from the inside - the child safety switches are probably activated. Open the rear doors (from the outside) and slide the small levers next to the doors locks (on the edge of the doors) upwards.

Jaguar 1988 xj6 3.4

This is a child safetly feature. There should be a small lever on the inside of the door frame on the door itself. You will have to switch it back in order for the handles to function again.
