Location of oil sending unit on 2001 xterra 3.3

Most likely corrosion on the sending unit connector. If corroded will need sending unit assembly. To check lift up passenger side rear seat cushion and remove the top and bottom plates, fuel tank sender is right below.

V6 3.3L The sensor is located underneath the air intake manifold on top of the engine block. This should take an experienced mechanic about 3-4 hours to replace.

1st you need to do an oil pressure test. If it reads between 20psi-60psi, then it's Ok and you have a bad oil pressure switch. If it's below the above specs then you have an internal engine problem - IE: bad oil pump, bad bearing, etc...

Nissan Xterra is burning oil. I drove 1,000 miles in two days and it burnt 3 quarts of oil, but there is no leak underneath the truck. Does anybody have any idea?

your pvc valve not working.or you have leaking valve seals or worn valve guides wornrings .and your oil return holes get stop up oil.
