The are removed the same way as the front wiper arms. Lift the cover where the arm bolts to the motor assembly, remove the nut, work the arm off as they usually do not come off easily if they have been there a while and install the new one.

have you checked both front and rear sensors?

check for power and ground to the wiper motor first. then check for signal from the wiper switch.

The brake lamps on your Mercedes are computer-controlled. I would recommend scanning your computer network for possible fault codes.

it could be the motor thats gone

the winshield wiper water resevoir has a level indicator in the lower portion on the plastic container, and if the fluid is below the sensor turns on the light on the dash. Solution: keep the resevior filled about the sensor, and light will stay out.

I have ML350 SE and my front wipers stopped working overnight (back wipers are working ok). I changed the fuse but it did not help.
