2003 cadillac cts power seat won't go up and down

Few different things could be causing this; Power seats have 3 or 4 little separate motors in the seat that spin little drive cables to the gear assembly to power the action you request (up/down, forward/backwards, (in some cases the up/down is separate for the front or rear of seat) recline, side wing panels, etc.). You didn't say if you could hear the motor for F&B running when you press the switch. If you don't hear it could be that motor for that action is fried or you have a bad spot in your control switch. If you do hear it run it could be that the drive cable is bad, or there is a stripped area in the gear mesh (if you hear it run, have you tried pushing in the seat at the same time in the same direction? That would show a stripped gear area). If you want to try fixing it yourself, do the "get out and get under" with a helper to start the diagnosis; put the seat all the way up then with flashlight in hand, look (and listen) under the seat while you have your helper work the switch. That's the best way to start and then go from there. Good luck! If you do find the problem requires parts go to a salvage yard and see if you can find a similar power base (seat can be reused) or if it's the switch you're best off getting it from the dealer or you can try an online place like this: RockAuto Parts Catalog

mechanism lower seat driven by electric motor is broken.

sounds like anti theft device has kicked in needs to be reset dont know how to do that though

If you just drained it & are refilling,then yes,the engine
should run & warm up until the thermostat opens & you
keep adding.

If it isn't hot & circulating thru the entire system, you won't
get it close to full with the rad cap off

Yes. There should be 4 bolts and up to 3 wire connectors.

check your camshaft sensor and try cleaning your maf sensor too

Don't do that again! You will need to re-boot the on board computer system by entering a code. Call your nearest Cadillac dealer.

with all other movements working more than likely the forward reverse motor is bad
or possible bad switch test the switch first if it appears to be good replace motor or seat
being as u have to remove seat to be able to replace motor might be cheaper to get another seat out of a junk yard most junk yards wont sell u just the motor
so have two options buy new motor (probably dealer only item and expensive) or get a seat out junk yard(drawback to this is seat color might not match but seat covers are cheap)

i have a caddilac cts and my passenger seat does not work anyone has an idea on what it can be?

u are going to have to replace the seat transmission.
