I fried my starter and want to fix it myself - where is it and what tools do I need to replace it?
To put it very simple, if you plan on keeping the vehicle for any real length of time, go to your local parts store and buy a manual. Haynes and Chilton make pretty good repair books. They have pictures, step by step instructions, safety tips, and generally, what tools are needed. A good book runs about $25.00. If you're gonna keep it, buy the book. There is no way anyone can answer you question in the proper details needed on this limited site.
Good Luck and check it out.
