With headlights on, try to start the car.
While engaging the starter: Do the lights dim? Do you hear anything? If so, what do you hear?

Insufficient current is reaching the starer. It could be because the battery is bad, but more likely it is bad/dirty connections. Make sure battery connections are clean. A cheap tool can be used to scrape the inside of the clamp, as well as the rounded surface of the battery posts. Buy the tool at your local car store. Next use a jump start to start the carand run for 20 minutes. If you still have the same problem, it is because of a bad battery or alternator.

While the engine is running - after disconnecting the jumpers - try gunning the engine with someone watching your headlights. If the lights brighten, then your alternator is good.sa

SOURCE: My 1998 Toyota Corolla Seca, radio, Casssate

It sounds EXACTLY like a fuse is the problem. The fuse box for the accessories is in the kick panel next to your left leg under the dash. It should have a legend on it, but if it does not and you do not want to individually remove and check the fuses, you can buy a nifty little tool at the parts store that tests fuses while still in the block. They cost about $5 and are well worth twice as much. The car manual should also have a fuse diagram in it, too.

Hope,
matt

SOURCE: 1984 toyota corolla 1.6 engine. How do i adjust

Carbureted models have a fast idle cam on the throttle,It is a screw that sets against a movable part, called the cam, when the engine heats up,the cam will drop upon tapping the gas pedal.Set the carb, while the engine is cold,by tapping the gas pedal, then adjust the fast idle cam screw by turning it in,with the engine running.Start out by turning the screw in a full turn before starting engine so it will run, then adjust the screw as the engine runs.

SOURCE: 1999 Toyota Corolla Seca - hatchback. the tail

If you put your foot on the brake, the tail lights and parking lights will still come on. Possibly your brake is sticking. Check to see if it is and if it is put WD40 for a quick fix. See a tech for them to fix your brake alignment. Good Luck!

I hooked jumper cables up backwards being in a hurry. I blew the 100 amp main fuse and replaced it. now the lights and blower fan work but the car won't turn over and the clock and radio don't...

It sounds like you blew fuses other than just the main fuse. Hooking the battery up wrong can destroy major components as well, like the starter, battery, Computer, moduals. You might need a good shop....
