Hi guys, I have a 98 chev silverado 5.7 vortec. I've been struggling with misfire on wet days. The cap and wires were replaced twice to no avail. The engine light has been on for a while : latest code is...

The crank and cam sensors would be a huge problem - the car wouldn't work if the sensors were at absolute nonfucntion, but you'd have issues if the sensor's issues were intermittent.

I have a 1999 chev silverado pickup I know it has a v8 engine. But I'm not sure if it's a 4.8 or 5.3. How or where do I find out this info. Thank you

Hello, my name is Ben and I can help you with this. Take a look at your VIN number. Counting from the left, the engine code is the 8th character.
V = 4.8L
U = 6.0L
T = 5.3
W = 4.3 ( V6 )

93 chev 1500 won,t start

typical fuel pump issue.. Usually around $600 to have it done. The tech would check for pressure and then test the ground and the power souce for a voltage drop. If all this is not done to verify you need a 600 dollar pmp you cold be just throwing parts at it as you go.
