At first the power steering light came on which is also affecting the speedo our son thinks its a dirty earth (he is a mechanic)but lives in Australia but told us to check earths we know one on battery but have been told there is more

its definatly in the back lights. i have seen this problem before. the earth at the rear of the car on the left side beside where the loom plugs into the bulbs holder. 10 mm bolt bolted to the body. loosen it and say it with electrical cleaner and do the same on the opposite side. shoul do he job

Probably the alternator but I'd check it to be sure first. Many auto parts stores will check you whole charging system for free so call around.

thats correct, it does use an electric motor, no more oil or hoses and pumps.it now has modules,sensors, motor and computer to opreate the steering.
