Usually that's the symptoms of a loose ground connection. Ask the body shop to check out anywhere they may have severed a ground (chassis) connection to the dashboard.
UPDATE: Sorry to hear that they won't help. If you are familiar with cars you can try connecting a wire to any screw area on the dash which connects to metal and touching the other end of the wire to a known chassis ground (steering column, door hinge, etc.) with the parking lights turned on. If the dashboard lights up, that's your issue. If not, try asking a Tuffy Auto or other full service shop.
I know sounds simple but look to the left of the steering column for a rotary swith that goes up and down. This is the dimmer switch that can completely turn down or off what lights are on your display. Forgive me if this is not the case.
check dimmer for dash lights... and toyota kills dashlights if the taillight fuse is blown. so check taillights. sometimes the trailer connector will short out. :) good luck.
There is a dash light dimmer control, this controls the dash light brightness only when the headlights are on, check and make sure it is turned on, if it is then replace it, it is defective..
