No start, no spark, no signal to the coil

in the distributor is a ignition control module

Check the plug wire from the ignition coil to the distributor cap.
If you haven't already, replace the distributor cap and rotor.
The GM Vortec's have issues with moisture getting inside the cap and rotor and causing problems.

Hi, Ok you have confirmed that it's not a fuel problem. You need to check for spark. Pull the coil wire off of the coil(secondary lead-looks like a spark plug wire) Have some one crank it over and listen for a popping sound. IF yes, spark is at the coil, that means all ignition sensors are working. Next check for spark at ends of wires after cap. IF no replace cap and rotor. IF yes remove a couple spark plugs and check for fouling(wet, fuel etc...) IF yes replace or clean plugs and retest for starting. IF no spark is present at coil you need to scan computer and watch for rpm signal. IF no rpm signal, replace crankshaft sensor with OEM delco part. BIGGEST problem with these engines is Cap and Rotor burn out.

first check for spark disconnect any plug wire from the spark plug remove the spark plug from the engine reattach the plug wire and set it on the fender well DO NOT TOUCH THE PLUG OR WIRE AND CRANK THE ENGINE AND SEE IF THERE IS A SPARK BETWEEN THE ELECTRODE AND ARM. if there is no spark you have an ignition problem check for 12v at distributor.
if you have spark then check fuel pressure the fuel pump could be bad.

That is indeed odd. I would suspect problems with the hi tension cables if this was not part of the ones you changed since the flow of current ends at the distributor. Check also other cables such as the ground. It is puzzling that all plugs would not have any spark. I would also recommend a scanner used to check for error codes given out by the car's ECU.

Crank sensor is primarily for the spark and the cam sensor is for fuel management, crank/cam correlation for misfire purposes I would also change the wires.

Looks like you've covered the basics, make sure the firing order is correct with your spark plug wire replacement. Hope this diagram helps.

Look to the source of the ignition spark that supplies all 4 spark plugs. The ignition coil supplies spark to the rotor and the rotor sends spark to each individual spark plug wire via the cap and rotor. If you are getting no spark check the cap and rotor for wear and then go to the coil and see if it is malfunctioning. If all of that fails then the sensor suppling the signal to the ignition coil is probably to blame. Usually the Camshaft or Crankshaft sensor that feed signal to the ECM or the ignition coil. Be methodical, follow your way down the line and check everything and you'll find the problem for sure!

I would be thinking that there is a good chance that you need to be checking out replacing the computer, if you aren't getting any communication with the proper scan tool then the computer isn't communicating with anything in the vehicle...... I would have guessed first off that the ignition control module might be bad but that is obviously part of the computer also, I would be looking in that direction.
